ITS A THIRD WORLD AFTER ALL

Third World After all
JamxBand members have found time in the past year to check out other Live Music Acts that come through the NYC area on tour. It?s a small world after all and many of the musicians that perform with name Acts like Steel Pulse, Arrow, and third world are musicians that are well known to, or even friends confidants of Jamx Band members.
Sidney Mills for example who is well known to most Reggae aficionados as the Musical director and arranger for Steele Pulse has a small but great sounding Studio (LIVING ROOM) located in the heart of the Caribbean Republic of Brooklyn NY, and hosts many session musicians who also perform with JamxBand.
We caught up with Sidney late last summer performing with Pulse at B.B. Kings in NYC.
Speaking of B.B. Kings, we had the distinct honor and pleasure of Visiting with Reggae Icons THIRD WORLD at their recent performance at that famous Manhattan Cabaret.
Our relationship with THIRD WORLD is one of close friendship and family that dates back to the groups inception, in the early 1970?s and before .High School Bands like Mighty Explosion and Hells Angels morphed and evolved into better known groups like Generation Gap, and Inner Circle where fledgling Reggae Artists like Freddie McGregor, and Jacob Miller sowed their talents and grew to be world famous.
.In hindsight those were amazing times?the music, becoming the perfect backdrop to the emerging Political collage that was to overwhelm Jamaica and its culturally gifted people
In the midst of all of that upheaval and uncertainty, THIRD WORLD became, and still remain today, Jamaica?s Reggae Ambassadors.
